State graduation requirements and the local requirements apply to all students in Woodrow Wilson High School. To graduate with a state-endorsed diploma, a student must have taken and passed a program which includes the following courses taken over the four years of high school.:

• 4 years of English
• 4 years of Health and Physical education
• 3 years of Math
• 2 years of History
• 1 year Global Studies
• 2 years of Science
• 1 year of Fine and Performing Arts
• A student must pass all parts of the 11th grade HSPT

To move from one homeroom grade level to a higher honoree grade level, students in grade 9-12 are required to pass the course requirements ass determined by a credit system. The number of credits earned is determined by the number of periods that a class is held each week. The minimum credit requirements necessary for promotion are as follows:

• • from 11th to 19th grade: 27.5 credits
  • from 10th to 11th grade: 55.0 credits
  • from 11th to 12th grade: 75.0 credits

• to graduate from high school: 110.0 credits

Plus successful completion of all parts of the 11th grade HSPA

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS TABLE 

LOST OF COURSE CREDIT
Based on a normal school year of 180 days, the Camden Board of Education requires a minimum of 162 days in attendance for a secondary student to earn course credit at the end of the year. Course credit will be denied any student with more than eighteen (18) days unexcused absences. Students who do not have the required attendance will not receive course credit and will jeopardize their graduation dates. Violating the district attendance policy will place a student in jeopardy of losing course credit for the school year, no matter that the grade of record is a passing grade.

All parents of Woodrow Wilson High School students are invited to attend the PTSO meetings which are held each month. Parents should contact a Community/School Coordinator at the high school for meeting dates. The PTSO is composed of parents, teachers, and students who function as an advisory group to provide suggestions/recommendations for improvement of school programs and to provide volunteer services for school activities.

PARENT CONFERENCES

Parents may request a conference with their child’s teacher any time during the school year. Parents are to please call the Guidance Office for an appointment. Preferably, the conference is to be held at times which do not interrupt instruction. Teachers may, at times, find it necessary to request special conferences with a parent. Please, determine to make every effort to meet with your child’s each if you receive such a request.

QUARTERLY REPORT CARD DISTRIBUTION

Report card distribution/conference are held in cooperation with the Parent/Teacher/Student Organization (P.T.S.O.) to provide an opportunity for teachers to share class expectations/procedures with parent, as well ad to provide parents with a personal progress report. The conferences are usually scheduled twice a year at the conclusion of the first and second marking periods. If your child does not receive a report card, please contact the school. Parents may request a progress report at any time by contacting the Guidance.

A = 92-100
B = 83-91
C = 74-82
D = 65-73
F = BELOW 65

The grading system used in The Camden City School District is a system whereby the letter grades are determined by a percentage value.

A=92% and above Excellent
B=83% to 91% Above Average
C=74% to 82% Average
D=65% to 73% Passing/Below Average
F= BELOW 65% Failing

Grade Point Average (GPA)

The formula is: Total value attempted earned divided by the total credits.

Class Rank: A student’s academic standing in relationship to his/her classmates is determined by computing the grade point average (GPA) at the junior year and the end of the first semester of the senior year.

Class Promotions: A student must earn the listed credits in order to advance to the next grade.
